Can Humans Really Control Electrical Radiation?

Over the years, many people have claimed to possess strange powers, from the ability to move objects with their minds to controlling Electrical currents, but are any of these claims real?

As I have explained beforehand, the human body is home to all manner of electrical energies and forms of radiation. From the electrical currents that travel between nerve cells transmitting impulses, to the excess electromagnetic field permeating and surrounding the human body. It is easy to say that we are steeped in electromagnetic energies, and it is evident that the human form can conduct electrical energies. How often have you walked across a carpet to greet someone and end up zapping them with a small electrical charge, or a static shock?

Over the years, many people have claimed an ability to alter their electrical flow, either through controlling their Electromagnetic Field, or simply by storing the excess electrical energy in their body. Over the course of this article, I am going to go into detail about a few of these remarkable people and evaluate them in my own words, using my own opinions (By this extension I am merely stating my opinion, I am not saying whether the claim is real or fake, as I could not possibly know.

The Electric Man (Biba Struja) - Serbia

Biba Struja, "The electric man" is well known in Serbia for his Shocking show wherein he passes strong electrical currents through his body, in the past he has been known to harmlessly allow up to 20,000 Volts to pass through his body, which is more than enough to kill a fully grown adult male in an instant.
Each day Biba practices on his homemade generator, testing his own limits. He has demonstrated his ability several hundred times over to pass any electrical current through his body to achieve several different feats, from illuminating a light-bulb to flash frying hot dogs.
Biba's ability to absorb electrical currents is nothing short of amazing, but most scientists are skeptical of the mans "Abilities" as none one has found a way to fully explain how Biba can absorb an electrical current.

In my opinion: Biba is renowned across Serbia for his shows of electrical absorption, and throughout the documentary's featuring him I have viewed; he shows definite signs of electrical resistance. Where his claim is extraordinary, it does not seem to be faked and as you will see as you continue this article, he is far from the only person claiming such abilities. In my opinion, I could believe that Biba is in fact resistant to deadly electrical currents, as no evidence has yet proven otherwise.

Raj Mohan Nair - India

Raj Mohan, otherwise known as "Electric Mohan" was featured on the popular discovery channel show "Stan Lees Superheroes" and has demonstrated abilities similar to Biba (Above), being able to absorb and channel amazing amounts of electricity. Through several demonstrations Raj showed how he can harmlessly act as a channel for an electrical current to power household items around his home, from a light bulb to a hot plate.
According to Raj, he discovered this ability when he attempted to commit suicide after losing his mother by grabbing onto a main power line. Much to his surprise however, he felt nothing, climbing back down astonished with a new view on his life. Raj believes that he has been blessed by God, and that these abilities were a sign for him to move on from his mother’s death and move on with his life.
As a testament to his potential capabilities, it takes just less than One Amp to kill any human almost instantly, with Raj able to absorb 3+ Amps he is showing superhuman resistance to electrical energy.

In My Opinion: The thing that makes me identify this as a possible truth, is the test carried out by the show wherein they test the conductivity of Raj's skin. First the presenter tested his own skin and then Rajs’. When the test is carried out, it shows that Raj's skin is at least ten times as conductive as the hosts. With this information to back up what is shown in the episode, one can openly believe that Raj is in my opinion a human conductor.

Sally Wallbank - Lancashire

Mrs. Wallbank has a very interesting party trick, simply by holding a light bulb in her hands she can cause it to light. Over the course of her life, Sally has claimed that she discharges varying levels of electrical energy, she has claimed that she has accidentally wiped computers by just being in their immediate vicinity, caused the motors of vacuum cleaners to explode by walking under or near them as well as caused significant shocks to her husband.
The problem with this claim is there is a significant lack of evidence to back up her claims. The one thing that could be linked to her claims is a rare and arguably real condition known as SLI, or Street light interference which involves a person causing interference with lighting in close proximity to them. As I said however, SLI is questionably disputable, with it being the subject of a large amount of controversy. So, is it possible that Sally is in fact, a human battery?

In my opinion: There is simply not enough evidence to back up Sally's claim, so I cannot believe what she claims is true. Although I admit I would find it very interesting if it were true, so if can be proved to me, please someone show me the evidence, I would love to see it.

Debbie - (My Shocking Story)

Debbie claims to suffer from the aforementioned condition SLI and causes electrical disruptions wherever she goes. I really don't feel the need for synopsis here, so just move on.

In my opinion: If I'm honest, this is a load of trollop. Little that it said in this documentary can be taken seriously as she contradicts a lot of her own points and at many other points things happen to be a little too convenient...

Where to start..?
Firstly in every shot, Debbie is shown in a lighted area, surely if she was suffering from SLI the lights in her immediate vicinity would be affected? And yet at no point does any light show any sign of flickering or damage.
Secondly, the moment wherein Debbie's friend asks the time is painfully rehearsed. The way in which she asks for the time absolutely reeks of planning, if you want to see what I mean, fast forward to one minute into the video and tell me you don't feel exactly the same.
Thirdly, the plane... oh God the plane. To start with, if Debbie believed herself to randomly shut down electronics or cause undue problems to them, WHY ON EARTH WOULD SHE GET ON A PLANE! A flying machine that relies on its electronics to not horribly kill everyone inside...
Finally, when Debbie goes to her hotel she claims that the hotel has been plunged into darkness moments after she walks in. If so, why does the building show obvious signs of maintenance work being done? Which would not have happened so quickly after her entry? Or if she affected electronics so quickly, why didn't they affect the lights in other buildings? Like her friend’s home or the corridor she is being filmed in?
Without much more to say, I'm going to happily plant the FAKE stamp on directly on Debbie's forehead.

"Deejay" - Indonesia

Deejay (Not his real name) is an Indonesian healer who claims to harness Chi energy to heal others as well as create all manner of other effects. According to the documentary, the "Chi" that supposedly heals others manifests itself as a series of static shocks, which is why I include it here.
In addition to his healing abilities, Deejay also demonstrates his ability to use chi to set fire to objects, catch bullets without harm and drive a chopstick through a wooden surface and then snapping it with a small slap.
During this documentary Deejay demonstrates an unwillingness to be recorded on tape using his abilities for unknown reasons, later revealed to be a teaching linked to his skills which means he cannot demonstrate what he can do for personal fame nor draw blood. As the documentary progresses a series of tests are held on Deejay, to see what causes these bizarre phenomenon that Deejay call Chi. Each of the tests however, prove to be inconclusive. The day after the tests however, Deejay, whilst demonstrating his abilities accidentally drew the blood of one of the documentary workers, then almost immediately after claims that he has gone against his code too heavily and cuts off contact with the crew.

In my opinion: There is a lot to take into account for this video, whereas Deejay demonstrates a large amount of abilities that defy explanation. However, when the team begins to submit Deejay to tests outside of his own home, he quickly cuts the team off and disappears into obscurity.
Whereas the abilities Deejay are impressive, it is suspicious that he calls off the entire documentary soon after they begin to test his skills scientifically, for obvious reasons this kicks my suspicion reflex into overdrive...

In the end, we can see that whilst it is perfectly possible (although rare) for humans to become highly conductive, there is little chance of anyone hurling lightning bolts from their hands (Which is probably a good thing). Human potential is however, unmapped and if Deejay does speak the truth, it shows there is nothing we cannot do without enough strength of will. Or not, depending on whether you believe or not.
