Sheryl Crow believes that her brain tumor may have been the result of using cell phones too much.

The benign brain tumor that Sheryl Crow discovered last year may have been the effect of modern technology, she told Katie Couric Monday.
Or, more specifically, "old archaic cell phones."
The country singer opened up to the talk show host about her startling health discovery, and said that she believes using cell phones may have resulted in the diagnosis.
"There are no doctors that will confirm that," Crow clarified. "(But) I do have the theory that it's possible that it's related to that. I (used to spend) hours on the old archaic cell phones."
Crow, 50, said that she first noticed some issues with her memory late last year, and decided to get an MRI to find out what was wrong.
"I (was) worried I had an early (onset) Alzheimer's," she confessed, noting that friends told her the memory lapses might have just been a by-product of having two young sons.
"I'm 50, what can I say?" she told People earlier this year when she forgot the words to song "Soak Up the Sun" while performing in Florida. "My brain's gone to (expletive)."

This isn't the first time Crow has had to deal with health issues.
In 2006, Crow revealed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, just weeks after she and longtime beau Lance Armstrong broke off their engagement.
"It brought me to this point where I am now, and I really feel like I have a lot of clarity," she told Oprah Winfrey at the time. "It's in really experiencing your emotion, holding the emotion, really working through the emotion.
"Those are the conditions for your awakening. That's how you really find out who you are."
