How EMF Protection Works

In the second decade of the 21st century, we carry around all sorts of electronic devices not knowing exactly what kind of damage they may be causing us over extended periods of use. Whether it’s laptops, tablets, or cell phones – all of these emit various forms of radiation. “EMF” stands for “Electromagnetic Field.” This includes Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) and Radio Frequency (RF) radiation. Here we examine the most tried, true, and tested forms of EMF protection.
For an example of what we’re talking about, WiFi devices and cell phone communications create Radio Frequency (RF) radiation. Without EMF protection, this radiation can enter our bodies potentially causing harm over time.
EMF protection should include, first and foremost, keeping devices as far away from our bodies as possible. A safe distance from the radiation source ensures that we won’t be affected. This is why sources such as power lines, cell towers, and appliances that are far away are not much of a threat. With smaller EMR-emitting devices though, these cause more of a risk as the source is often pressed near, if not, right against our bodies.
If EMF protection is not a priority for you, consider that exposure to EMF radiation can cause fertility problems, cellular damage or DNA mutation, as well as create skin problems.
Even if the device is not pressed to directly our skin, radiation is still absorbed by our bodies. This is why proper EMF protection is advised. Clothing, laptop cooling pads, lap desks, laptop tables or laptop trays offer little to no protection as none of these accessories are shielding your body against electromagnetic fields.
Certainly one of the most effective forms of EMF protection recommended are shields designed to protect one from EMF radiation.
It is worth saying again. EMF protection strategies includes keeping portable devices as far away from your bodies as you can. Naturally, this isn’t possible when a device is designed to be used near the body. A much more effective form of EMF protection can be simply using these devices over shorter periods of time.
One of the most effective forms of EMF protection recommended are shields designed to protect one from EMF radiation. This shielding should be made specifically for EMF protection, and not just against heat or discomfort. You want an EMF shield that will stay between you and your electronic device deflecting, diverting, and shielding the radiation away from your body. Some EMF shields are more effective than others so it’s recommended that a bit of research be conducted before making any purchase related to EMF shields.
Electromagnetic fields are a major source of study in the scientific community and with good reason. As we continue to evaluate the long term effects of being surrounded by all of these devices, it is recommended to approach their use with reason and care. EMF protection can go a long way toward defending yourself against side effects brought on by exposure to EMF radiation.
